Licensed Architect will oversee and manage all aspects of one or more large-scale, complex projects including predesign, design, construction, and post occupancy services. Ensure projects progress - on schedule, within external and internal budget and client expectations. This position also develops and maintains client relationships and grows project and services opportunities consistent with firm marketing goals; assists in the development of proposals; and participates, as requested, in client interviews/presentations.
Qualifications
Position requires a North Carolina architect registration, NCARB Certificate, a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution, with a minimum of 10 years design. Construction services experience with large-scale/complex projects in one or more of the following project types is necessary: Workspace, Higher Education, Health, Senior Living, Critical Facilities, Food Service or Financial. Masters Degree and LEED accreditation are both a plus.
Technical & Professional Skills:
Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Reader. Experience in ArchiCAD (BIM) software a plus. Extensive, knowledge of governmental regulations, building codes, construction document and specification preparation and interpretation, contract administration, and architectural design and sustainable design techniques. Experience with the Office of State Construction a plus.
