Architectural Intern 2020

Internship positions at LAMBERT Architecture + Interiors provide individuals an opportunity to gain real-world experience in the practice of Architecture and in a supportive environment. It is an excellent opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills learned through education, while working alongside licensed Architectural professionals.

LAMBERT Architecture + Interiors is currently seeking an Architectural Design Student Intern to join our team this summer.  Full time and part time opportunities are available. Students that have completed their 2nd year of an NCARB accredited school and have gained prior working experience in a design or construction related field are preferred.  

Interviews will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020. Please complete the attached application and include images or portfolio examples of previous professional and/or course work by 5pm on February 17, 2020.

As a Student Intern, under supervision, you will assist architects and project managers in various aspects of a project including administration, marketing, predesign, design, and construction.  

Internship Tasks:

  • Exposure to general office procedures and professional networking.

  • Assist the Project Manager with administrative tasks such as preparation of contracts, proposals, meeting minutes and field reports, etc.

  • Assist in the preparation of presentation materials for firm marketing and/or project design phases with professional assistance.

  • Perform 3D-modeling in Sketchup and/or BIM to assist in visualization of projects as directed by the Project Architect.

  • Perform 2D drafting to assist project team in the preparation of construction documents as directed by the Project Architect.

  • Assist Project Architect in the preparation of project specifications including building material and product research

  • Review contractor submittals during construction with direction from the Project Architect.

  • Take personal responsibility to arrive on time, communicate well, dress professionally, work agreed upon hours and create quality work.

  • Foster a collaborative relationship with the internal team and maintain a commitment to quality client service.

 

Required Skills:

  • Possess critical thinking and problem solving skills.

  • Previous experience in Sketchup, AutoCAD, ArchiCAD and / or REVIT.

  • Previous experience in Photoshop and Illustrator.

  • Previous experience in Microsoft Office.

  • Previous experience in Bluebeam is a plus.

Interior Design Intern 2020

Internship positions at LAMBERT Architecture + Interiors provide individuals an opportunity to gain real- world experience in Interior Design in a supportive, business environment.

It is an excellent opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills learned through education, while working alongside accredited Interior Design team and licensed Architecture professionals.

LAMBERT Architecture + Interiors is currently seeking an Interior Design student Intern to join our team this summer.  Full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Students that have completed their second year of design school or have gained prior working experience in a design-related field are preferred. 

Please complete the attached application and include images or portfolio examples of previous professional and/or course work by February 28, 2020.

As a Student Intern for the Interior Design team, you will be responsible for performing interior assignments under supervision to obtain increased education and professional experience.

Internship Tasks:

  • Exposure to general office procedures, marketing tasks and professional networking.

  • Perform basic interiors assignments and requests under supervision of professional.

  • Design and apply sketches and space plans into computer aided programs.

  • Create models and renderings in Sketchup and Adobe Creative Suite with professional assistance.

  • Create architectural drawings and markups including finish schedules, floor / furniture plans and reflected ceiling plans with professional assistance.

  • Select finishes, furniture, fixtures and equipment upon request.

  • Attend team, client and material rep meetings on and offsite.

  • Help maintain material library.

  • Take personal responsibility to arrive on time, communicate well, dress professionally, work agreed upon hours and create quality work.

  • Foster a collaborative relationship with the internal team and maintain a commitment to quality client service.

 

Required Skills:

  • Possess critical thinking and problem solving skills.

  • Possess basic knowledge of space planning, project presentation and material selection.

  • Previous experience in Sketchup, ACAD, ArchiCAD and / or REVIT.

  • Previous experience in Photoshop and Illustrator.

  • Previous experience in Microsoft Office.

  • Previous experience in Bluebeam is a plus.
